Ivica Profaca is a Croatian freelance reporter who worked with most of the biggest newspapers and magazines in his country. Until recently he held position of a regional editor in Jutarnji list daily newspaper bureau in his hometown Split, Croatia. Before that, he worked on various positions in the biggest local daily Slobodna Dalmacija, including international news editor, war reporter, online editor, city section columnist, etc. Also, Ivica had been granted Alfred Friendly Press Fellowships in 1997., appointed to The Dallas Morning News as a staff writer. In the last few months, Ivica is expanding his freelance writing in various dailies, weeklies and magazines in Croatia and broader region, and directs his writing interests into business, politics, as well as culture and local history.
